Cool athletics day
Kia Ora Bloggers. At Paihia School we have had a athletics day a few weeks ago. The event was held at Bledisloe Domain. My favourite events were long jump and relays. I learnt how to do long job Properly by not touching the mat and land on two feet in the same spot. I also thought I did pretty well in relays . It was a hot day thankfully at the food store they had juicies to buy and water refill.

Movie Day
Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been making movies. I finished our movie so I was able to go to Kawakawa primary school and watch other movies and see what they had created. My favourite movies were Boy and the Life of Nerds. I liked these movies because they were funny and interesting. What I learnt was that don’t give up on your work because you might get to do something fun.

Awesome games of ki-o-rahi
Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere and Te Maunga we have been practising ki-o-rahi. A few weeks ago we went down to the tournament at Simpson Park Morewa. It was fun getting out of the classroom and playing Ki-o-rahi with other schools. I even saw some of my cubs pack down there. We had a few good games, we didn’t get into any finals or anything but we still had a fun time. The year seven and eight group got into the finals so we all grabbed a little bit of food and water and then rushed over to see their game. After that game had ended we are all packed up and walked to the cars and then we went back to school. We went to the Whare Kai and we waited for the rest of the group to arrived so we didn’t distract the rest of the class. .

A cool Duffy show at my hair school
Kia Ora Bloggers. At Paihia school we have had a Duffy show last Friday. The characters were Duffy, Amy, the mum and the game monsters. It was funny and a little bit cringey at times. I don't think it was for year 7 and 8’s but nonetheless it was still cool. It was about getting stuck inside of a computer game and Amy has to get Duffy out of the game. Also Amy gets sucked into the game herself as well. They had to do the dumpling dance to get out which is the way that the game creator got in and out of the game.
I think it was about you getting off video games from time to time to to do some learning or reading or going outside.

Amazing movie Raging Boy
Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been making movies. My groups movie is called Raging Boy and it is about a kid that breaks his keyboard and has to find money for him to get it repaired. What was hard in my movie was the switch from a movie to a animation because we kinda had to redo some of our movie . I enjoyed creating an animation, but I did not like recording it. At Paihia school we will soon be showing our movies to the other students. Give me some feedback on my movie please?

Swim safety
Today in Te Ngahere a lady named Tracy taught the class how to keep safe in the water. The five safety rules when you are on a boat are:before going on a boat is tell someone where you will be, tell someone where your heading and what time you will be backalways wear a life jacket when you are on a boatalways check the weather before you head out, always have a radio or phone on you always put your safety first. This was good for me to learn so I can tell my Mum or Dad to make sure they bring the life jackets and follow all the rules if we ever go on someones elses boat!See you in the next blog post

Dental hygiene
Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been learning about oral hygiene. We learnt to brush our teeth twice a day every morning and night because something called plaque will lay on your teeth and it will harden, decaying your teeth. We could also could go and put paint on our teeth to show where we haven’t been brushing properly. At first it was funny but then I realised that the blue paint was showing plaque. In the Future I will make sure to take better care of my teeth . I have made a DLO to show what else I learned. Let me know what you think!

Reusing images
Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to reuse images from the internet properly. We were learning to check the rules and the licence on the picture to see if we could use it or not.
So from now on I will make sure that I am allowed to use the image that I would like to use in my learning.
See you in the next blog posts.

And He pene rakau tena means that is a pencil. We also had to create an animation that asked questions about classroom objects in Te Reo Maori and record it with screencastify. cross-country day
Kia Ora Bloggers. At Paihia school we had our cross-country day last Friday. It started off as a normal day after morning tea we were put into vehicles and we drove to where cross-country was happening. We got out of the vehicle and we went and put our bags down on a tarp, as soon as my bag was on the tarp I grabbed my lunch box and grabbed the $3 that mum had put in my lunch box to grab some baking so I could get the pieces of baking that I would like to get. After a few hours my mum had came down the driveway and I stopped what I was doing and raced towards her. My friend said it didn't look like her but I knew that was her. An hour later and it was my race. We had to go halfway around the feild, up through a rocky path , jump over a fence and then half way around a paddock up a hill, through a gate around the marker and back the same way. I think that training helped me in the long run I didn't get the best placement but at least I finished in the top 8 I got second to last place after that I grabbed me a juicy and started to head home with my mum.

Our school put on a talent show, I entered with jokes. There were so many cool things that were being performed like some Michael Jackson dance moves, some gymnastics, dance moves and many more . This is one of my jokes that I told to the school, knock knock, who's there, broken pencil, broken pencil who oh nevermind it's pointless. I hope you thought the joke was funny. For the prizegiving I came in 5th place. I am proud of myself for competing because it was fun but also very scary.

our identity pnojnct
On Monday after assembly we quickly did the roll and we went off to the whare. When we got there we sat down and talked about what we were doing and we talked about how to make trees and our hoe using Tinkercad and Sculptgl. I think I did well with trying to make a Pohutukawa tree instead of just a Norfolk pine. I think I could do better next time by not stressing out about how all of the flowers were put on the tree. I hope Whaea Kerry and Whaea Monika come back because it was a pretty fun and cool experience, especially using Virtual Reality..
