Custom Lego R32 GTR

Kia ora Bloggers. At my house I have been heavily into LEGO since I was 5 and now I am eleven. My favourite car is a GTR R32 and I have been designing a way to make it out of Lego with the existing LEGO stickers and a Dodge Diamond LEGO speed champions. I will be taking the existing body of a Dodge Demon LEGO speed champions and taking parts off it and replacing them with other parts which will have the R35 stickers put on to them. I am hoping that this is a working build because the main part of the car that I really want to create is the bodywork and the axles because then I could do custom rims instead of having the normal Lego tyres. I really hope that I can get the parts because I found a lot of good deals on eBay and Trademe for the stickers and cars. Have you ever done a custom Lego build?

Aeroplane Trick Shots

Kia ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere, we have been doing paper aeroplane trick shots where we had to use a paper aeroplane and get it into a box in the most creative way. I was standing backwards and flew it over my  shoulder so it had to land in a box I found it pretty challenging because sometimes it would go off track when we tried it outside and it was just getting pushed off course. We went inside and tried it and it worked way better because there was no big gusts of wind. Here is my airplane trick shot and I hope you enjoy. Have you ever done an aeroplane trick shot?

Fortnite season 13

Kia ora Bloggers. At my house I've been playing a lot of Fortnite over Lockdown. Fortnite chapter 2 season 13 is just around the corner and I would love a new season on this long weekend because I get to  play some Fortnite with my friends and get up some levels up, because in season 12 I got up to level 280. Fortnite has got a little bit boring this season. I really hope that the new season isn't too long because I feel like Fortnite needs to go back to doing it's normal season which is 2 months instead of 5. Are you hyped for the next season of Fortnite?

Domino trick shot

I found the Domino trick shot challenge a little bit hard because the dominoes would keep on falling over as I was setting it up. The Lego mini-figure that I put at the end keep on falling over causing the Dominos to fall over. When I shot the first Dominos with a Nerf gun some of the Dominos fell off the side of the ramp and down to the stream below of them, that's why you will see me push some over with my finger. but otherwise it'll worked pretty well. Here is my domino trick shot challenge Link .Have you ever done a Domino trick shot?

Scrap yard

Kia ora Bloggers. At my house my dad and I last weekend took off at 4:30 in the morning to head down to Auckland to go to a scrap yard. My dad was looking for parts for his utes. The roads would be very quiet with only having a passing truck every 10 or so minutes. When we arrived my dad noticed that some of the cars were in half also some of the cars were in beautiful condition but they wanted to cut the one that we were going to buy in half. When we walked into the back office to look at some more parts I noticed if you needed a headlight or a radio or a mirror they had it. If you are looking for a new engine or some new rims or tyres they were piled to the roof. When my dad was lifting a radiator all the radiator fluid spilt out into the car park it was so funny. Have you ever been to a scrap yard?

Maths eyes

Kia ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere, we have been doing maths this week that have been revolving around maths eyes. We had to look at some gingerbread people and tell them what we saw. When we started reading it they said that math was all around us for example Connect 4 or Monopoly as they each have counting and they are a strategy game. They also asked for the ingredients for the gingerbread man and I listed them in cups, teaspoons and tablespoons. have you ever made gingerbread men?

Overwatch

Kia ora Bloggers. At my house I have got a new game called Overwatch. The gamer space 50 years in the future where robots have taken over the world and you have to baffle them each other. There is a lot of characters to pick from. My favourite is Tracer because she has the ability to go back in time and has some pretty cool voice lines. Have you ever played Overwatch and who is your favourite character?

Having my friend over for 2 weeks.

Kia ora Bloggers. At my house we had my friend Calais for 2 weeks during Level 3 and in those two weeks we have played laser tag, connect four, a lot of games of Fortnite some Forza Horizon and Club Penguin rewritten. Riding bikes and drift trikes, watching movies and eating our favourite meals. it was nice to have one of my best friends over for 2 weeks because we got to catch up on what we had been doing over this Lockdown. Did you open your bubble up to anybody?

Connect 4

Kia ora Bloggers. At my house we have been having a lot of games of Connect 4 and it has been really fun. I started playing when I was 5 with my mum and she's really good at the game. Sometimes you don't notice when someone is about to win and when someone isn't. You need to concentrate a lot in the game so you don't risk missing where the other player has gone. Have you ever played connect for before?

Kia ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere, we have been making Mother's Day cards . In Tynker where we could draw and write what we would want to put on a card or we draw it and write it in real life. For Mother's Day I have made my mum a card and might buy her a bag of chocolates.  I really like to show mum how much I love her. What have you done to Mother's Day this year?

perimeter and area

Kia ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere, we have been doing the perimeter and area in maths. To get the answer you add the length of all the sides together for a perimeter for the area you X the length by the width. I found this pretty easy today so next time I might try different and harder worksheet. link

School diary

Kia ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere, we have been doing summer learning journey from home. We have been making school diary templates, we use Canva to make the templates. I tried to make mine look like a normal school day. Here is mine. Does this look  similar to your school day?

Let us remember

Kia ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere, we have been doing Anzac Activities where we had to pick a item out of a box and do the research on who owned that item and finding their serial number and if they died in action or not. we offered Anzac art where we made poppies add an Anzac soldier picture as well. To make the Poppy you will need a green pipe cleaner, red muffin cases and a black Sharpie.First you colour in a big dot in the middle of your muffin cases, then poke a hole in the middle of that black dot and feed the green pipe cleaner through. You might need a bead t hold your muffin cases incase it slides down the stem. To make the soldier poster you will need some dye, a Sharpie and some paper. First draw the landscape like the hills and then you would need to draw the soldier piece by piece like his legs and  his body and then his face and hat. Next his arms and draw the fence and then you colour in the soldier and his background also the crosses. Then you put your dye into a paint brush and paint it on in whatever way you want it to be! What did you make for Anzac?
