Dental hygiene

Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been learning about oral  hygiene. We learnt to brush our teeth twice a day every morning and night because something called plaque will lay  on your teeth and it will harden, decaying your teeth. We could also could go and put paint on our teeth to show where we haven’t been brushing properly.   At first it was funny but then I realised that the blue paint was showing plaque. In the  Future I will make sure to take better care of my  teeth . I have made a DLO to show what else I learned. Let me know what you think!

Reusing images

Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to reuse images from the internet properly. We were learning to check the rules and the licence on the picture to see if we could use it or not.
So from now on I will make sure that I am allowed to use the image that I would like to use in my learning.
See you in the next blog posts.

Te Reo

Kia Ora Bloggers. In Te Ngahere we have been learning the name of some classroom objects and asking questions about them in Te Reo. He aha tenei? means, what is this? And He pene rakau tena means that is a pencil. We also had to create an animation that asked questions about classroom objects in Te Reo Maori and record it with screencastify. Here is my screencastify. Hope you like it. See you in the next blog posts.

cross-country day

Kia Ora Bloggers. At Paihia school  we had our cross-country day last Friday. It started off as a normal day after morning tea we were put into vehicles and we drove to where cross-country was happening. We got out of the vehicle and we went and put our bags down on a tarp, as soon as my bag was on the tarp I grabbed my lunch box and grabbed the $3 that mum had put in my lunch box to grab some baking so I could get the pieces of baking that I would like to get. After a few hours my mum had came down the driveway and I stopped what I was doing and raced towards her. My friend said it didn't look like her but I knew that was her. An hour later and it was my race. We had to go halfway around the feild,  up through a rocky path , jump over a fence and then half way around a paddock up a hill, through a gate around the marker and back the same way. I think that training helped me in the long run I didn't get the best placement but at least I finished in the top 8 I got second to last place after that I grabbed me a juicy and started to head home with my mum.

My quickest time around the course was 17.6. for cross country after I went around the course I was so tired and I felt like I had jelly legs.
